Nicholas joined Warren Allen in 2007 as an associate with the firm’s litigation practice. He graduated magna cum laude from Ave Maria School of Law in 2006, where he served as the Executive Notes Editor of the Ave Maria Law Review. He completed his undergraduate studies at The Colorado College, where he focused on politics and music, and spent a year studying political theory and international relations at Oxford University. The Oregon State Bar admitted him as a member in 2006.
Nicholas is a senior associate at the firm with a diverse practice area, covering civil litigation, real property disputes, insurance clams, landlord/tenant matters, and personal injury. As a result, he advises a variety of clients including small businesses, contractors, property owners, creditors, entrepreneurs, and everyday people.
Nicholas has a passion for helping people. In the past six years he has helped businesses litigate their disputes, advised entrepreneurs starting their ventures, represented both corporations and individuals in handling their insurance claims, and helped landlords protect their properties.
Outside of the firm, Nicholas is on the Executive Committee of the City of Portland Small Business Advisory Council and oversees its liaison program, which monitors the many bureaus of the City of Portland. Eager to have his thumb on the pulse of development in Portland, he has sat on the 2011 and 2012 budget planning committees for City’s Bureau of Development Services. He is also an active member of the East Portland Chamber of Commerce and sits on their Governmental Affairs Committee.
Prior to joining Warren Allen, Nicholas served as an extern to the Honorable Diarmuid F. O’Scannlain of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, as a project attorney for Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, and as counsel to a number of local small businesses. His practice utilizes this diverse background to address a variety of the clients’ needs as they pertain to litigation.
An Oregon native, Nicholas enjoys the outdoors, particularly the Oregon Coast. He is an avid fan of people, music, writing, and golf.
